Logan and I got married to each other in 2014, after dating for 5 months and being engaged for 5 months. We knew we loved each other almost right off the bat and everything moved pretty quickly after we came to that realization. Thankfully the Lord opened up doors for us along the way only proving more that things were meant to be. After being married for just over a year we had quite the surprise of finding out we were going to have a baby! One of the few unexpected times that ended up being the best thing ever. Halfway in to my pregnancy my family decided to take a vacation to the mountains, Breckenridge to be exact. At the time, I was searching for a photographer where we live (Texas) that we could use for our maternity session. For some reason I vaguely remembered a photographer from Breckenridge but I was not sure how or if I was mistaken. Then it clicked! My older sister had recently gotten married and her photographer was none other than Dani! I had come across her website where she mentioned where she was from, and of course right then I knew we were getting our photos done by Dani Cowan in the freaking mountains. Flash forward to the session. I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant, in a dress not meant for a pregnant body, walking through the crisp air of the mountains. If we did not have an amazing photographer and human like Dani, I could see that session going downhill fast (because pregnant), but we were so blessed by her! She made the experience enjoyable and easy, always making sure we knew what was going on and what we needed to do. Now our daughter is 8 months old and I love that we have these images to show her one day. Time goes by quickly and it is so important to capture special times like these while we have the chance. It goes without saying, we absolutely love how the photos turned out and are forever grateful for her creativity and kind heart. We love Dani!” – Kali + Logan
