We are beyond honored to have spent July 22nd & 23rd with some of the most AMAZING people and artist in our industry at our second film educational workshop in Tennessee in 2014.  It’s so refreshing to spend time learning and growing with others who truly love the art as much as you do.  Below you will find a few images of our amazing day as well as behind the scenes, taken by Elisa Bricker,  a list of all the amazing people involved, features from the workshop, and testimonials &  image links from our students.

I wanted to let you know that the workshop was a really big turning point for me. Beforehand, I was cautiously shooting a roll or two at weddings with mixed results, but since applying everything I learned, I’m now shooting as much as I can on film – it’s all I bring to engagement sessions, and I’m getting all the details, portraits, etc. on wedding days in film with beautiful results. This is exactly what I was hoping to get out of the workshop! ” – Kate Ignatowski | Kate Ignatowski Photography

The Belle Lumiere Workshop was everything I’d hoped it would be. I’ve been hesitant with workshops in the past, but decided to sign up for this workshop because it was exactly what I had been looking for  — hands on learning (with access to cameras too!). I had been dabbling in film a bit, but had wanted to learn more medium format from an experienced teacher before diving in and buying a camera. I knew some very minor basics going in but walked away from the workshop feeling so empowered and inspired to shoot more film. It gave me the confidence to shoot film…something I didn’t have before. It taught basics while giving each person opportunities to ask questions and learn more no matter their skill level. We learned about developing a relationship with a lab, which was also extremely helpful since I wasn’t really sure what that even should look like. I can’t forget to mention the incredibly beautiful styled shoots we had, I’m so happy to have images I’m proud of to add to my portfolio. ” – Amy Cherry | Amy Nicole Photography (SEE MORE IMAGES TAKEN BY AMY FROM THE WORKSHOP HERE) (HERE) (AND HERE) (AND AMY’S FEATURE FROM THE WORKSHOP ON 100 LAYER CAKE HERE)

The Belle Lumiere Workshop was truly inspirational! I loved working with such an amazing team of artist. The feel was very organic and breathtaking, my two favorite things! I learned on film but switched to digital with the times. It was so refreshing to shoot with film again and create timeless images in a timeless way. I learned so much at this workshop and have been incorporating the things I learned into my own business and would now like to call myself a hybrid shooter. I networked with so many other amazing photographers and vendors that I now can call good friends. I highly recommend this workshop to photographers at any level in the carrier. ” – Bre | SayBre Photography (SEE BRE’S FEATURE ON THE WEDDING SPARROW HERE)
